The challenge
This South Essex industrial site carried 8,000m² of ageing asbestos roofing, a significant health liability and a weatherproofing problem at scale. Removal of that volume of asbestos had to be planned meticulously: contained, compliant, and sequenced so the site could keep functioning.
What we did
We safely removed 8,000m² of asbestos roofing under controlled, compliant conditions, with containment and access planned around the operation, and waste managed through licensed disposal. The roof was then replaced with a modern system.
The result
8,000m² of asbestos roofing was safely removed and the building re-roofed with a modern system, removing a major liability and leaving the site with a weathertight, lower-maintenance roof.
