Industrial Wall Cladding & Recladding
Replace or overclad failing wall panels to restore weatherproofing, insulation and the appearance of your building.
The walls of an industrial building take a beating, weather, impact from vehicles and plant, and decades of thermal movement. When wall cladding starts to fail, you get cold spots, water ingress and a building that looks past its best. Recladding restores the envelope and, often, transforms how the building looks.
Wall cladding and recladding
We replace failing wall cladding and overclad sound but tired walls with modern insulated panel systems. Depending on the condition of the existing cladding and your goals, this can mean:
- Full replacement of corroded or damaged cladding panels
- Overcladding of sound walls with a new insulated outer skin
- Localised repairs to impact damage at vehicle and loading-bay level
- New flashings, trims and detailing to finish the envelope properly
Insulation and appearance
Modern composite and built-up cladding systems are far better insulated than the single-skin sheeting found on many older buildings. Recladding is a chance to improve the thermal performance of the whole envelope, and to give the building a clean, modern appearance in your choice of profile and colour.
Spotting failing wall cladding
Wall cladding tends to fail quietly before it fails obviously. Streaking and staining, blown or corroded fixings, panels that have lost their colour or started to delaminate, and damp patches on the inside face are all early signs that the system is no longer doing its job. At ground level, impact from vehicles and forklifts adds dents and splits that break the weather line and let water track behind the cladding.
Colour, profile and appearance
Recladding is also a visual reset for the building. Modern systems come in a wide range of profiles and colours, so the envelope can be brought into line with your brand and made to look current rather than dated. For a building that customers, staff and visitors see every day, that lift in appearance is often as valuable as the improvement in weather and thermal performance.
One contractor for roof and walls
Roof and wall problems often arrive together, and the details where they meet, flashings, gutters, verges, are where leaks start. Handling both as a single project means those junctions are detailed correctly and you have one accountable contractor for the whole envelope.
