Main Contractor & Project Management
For larger schemes, we can take on the principal-contractor role: planning, health & safety, programme and delivery managed under one team.
On larger or more complex schemes, roofing and cladding rarely happen in isolation, there’s access, scaffolding, structural work and other trades to coordinate, all on a building that usually has to keep operating. For projects like that, we can take on the main-contractor role and manage the whole job, not just the roof.
Pre-construction planning
Good projects are won before they start on site. We plan the works properly up front: surveying the building, agreeing the scope, sequencing the work around your operation, and identifying the access, logistics and risks before anyone lifts a tool.
Health, safety and CDM
Roofing is high-risk work at height, often around asbestos and on live sites. We manage health and safety throughout, with the documentation, method statements and risk assessments these projects demand. Our safety practices are independently assessed under the schemes listed on our accreditations page.
Coordinating trades and programme
As main contractor we coordinate the other trades and suppliers, control the programme and procurement, and keep the work moving to an agreed timeline, so you deal with one team that is accountable for the result, rather than managing several contractors yourself.
Access and scaffolding
On most roofing and cladding schemes, the access is half the job. Scaffolding, mast climbers, mobile elevating work platforms and edge protection all have to be designed, sequenced and signed off before productive work can start. As the team managing the whole project, we plan access around the building and your operation, so the right equipment is in the right place at the right time rather than holding the programme up.
Clear communication throughout
A project on a live site only works if everyone knows what is happening and when. We keep you informed of progress, flag anything we find once work is opened up, and agree any changes before they happen, so there are no surprises on the final account. One accountable team, one line of communication, from the survey through to handover.
A single point of responsibility
The biggest advantage of a single main contractor is clarity. One team plans it, runs it, keeps it safe and hands it back finished, combining our core roofing and cladding work with everything around it.
