Industrial Roof Refurbishment Across the UK
Extend the life of an existing industrial roof, sealing leaks, treating corrosion and restoring weather performance without a full strip-and-replace.
A failing industrial roof rarely fails all at once. It starts with cut-edge corrosion on the sheet ends, a few weeping laps, blocked or split gutters, and then one wet week it is dripping onto your racking. Refurbishment is how you get ahead of that without the cost and disruption of a full replacement.
We refurbish profiled metal, asbestos-cement and built-up felt roofs on warehouses, factories and commercial units. The goal is simple: restore the roof’s weather performance, extend its serviceable life and do it with the building still in use.
What refurbishment typically covers
Every roof is different, which is why we survey before we quote. A typical refurbishment scope includes some combination of:
- Cut-edge corrosion treatment on exposed sheet ends and laps
- Sealing and re-fixing failed laps, fixings and flashings
- Gutter cleaning, repair or lining to restore drainage
- Rooflight replacement where light panels have degraded or cracked
- Localised sheet replacement where corrosion has gone too far to treat
- Protective coating systems to add years of weather resistance
Where a roof is too far gone to refurbish economically, we will tell you. We would rather lose a refurbishment quote than coat over a roof that needs replacing, it protects your building and our reputation.
Why refurbish instead of replace?
A full roof replacement means stripping the existing covering, which often means exposing the inside of the building to the weather and pausing operations. For many industrial buildings, a well-specified refurbishment delivers the weathertightness you need at a fraction of the cost and disruption.
It is also more predictable. Once we have surveyed the roof we can give you a fixed scope and a fixed price, so there are no surprises mid-project.
Working around a live site
Most of our clients cannot simply close for a fortnight. We plan refurbishment work in phases, work over non-operational areas first where possible, and coordinate access, deliveries and safety so your team can keep working underneath. On distribution and manufacturing sites this is the difference between a manageable project and an expensive shutdown.
